Giant Hopes 04:02
Every time I look behind I see the things we could've become. It's not that I regret it much, but wonder all we could have done. I see your smile upon my face, memories of the past won't change. It seems that way back in those days I could not see what was ahead. I wonder now how those days are gone, if there's something I could have done before. Tell me the truth, help me see how it was. I don't question things I don't understand. Hiding in the tallest trees, diving in the ocean's deep, riding bikes along the sea, those high winds that blew on me. I close my eyes and see your smile. I know I hold the key this time, but even though I feel in debt and think of what you really expect. Help me, please, to find the way, to bring to you even brighter days. Be of good cheer. Everything will work out. Although you have your fears deep inside of you, deep inside of me. Just believe! I close my eyes, I see your smile. I know I hold the key this time. Wait for me! I'll come to you...

The Flower 06:40
Here I am seeking a flower untouched by the world, with a faithful manner. It is up high, so I must go there now even if it takes my entire life. The light of love lights up the path I walk. I'm not alone, in spite of all the stones; as well as thorns that try to obstruct the way of the firm goal of living beyond this day. Oh, that I could word such a thing! (Oh) if one such flower, I could reach! But you should not despair, for the time will someday come. In which what you now seek, you'll finally have found, you have found. The way is full of voices that say: "It's that one flower." "It's that one over there." Yet I keep going on with firm conviction while walking along the path of wisdom. My heart will not give up on this quest. The fight is still far from being over. It is now time to push oneself on. Now is the time to fight for what you long. The awaited time is not yet, but it will not take long. All your dreams and desires will soon real become, real become, oh, real become.

about

The Covid-19 pandemic hit the world hard in 2020. Amidst the pandemic's trials and tribulations, an unusual openness to collaborate in the music community allowed me to have thirteen talented musicians from nine different countries playing on this album. This vast collaboration was not part of the original plan; however, how wonderful it happened! Each musician brought something valuable and unique, and I am deeply grateful to all of them.

The album's title, Lario, is an old name for Lago di Como (Como Lake), a very special place in Italia. In addition to its natural beauty, part of my ancestors lived by the lake. When tourists are not pullulating it, Lago di Como is a place of inspiration and reflection. I never get tired of its scenery and always become nostalgic when it is time to leave.

In Lario, the listener will find a wide variety of music styles. This particularity was not a calculated manoeuvre but the result of spontaneous inspiration. Music is a universe of possibilities, and like the diverse colours of the sky and water when the sun is setting behind the mountains of Lago di Como, this album has a bit for all tastes.

May this music be enjoyable to your senses and bring you some solace, distraction, and joy in these uncertain times we are living.
